# System Requirements

### Carbon for Unreal harnesses cutting edge technology that pushes the limits of modern computing. <a href="#hs_cos_wrapper_kb-article-module-4" id="hs_cos_wrapper_kb-article-module-4"></a>

We recommend the following minimum system requirements for best experience.

#### PC:

* Unreal Engine Version 5.5 or 5.6 (legacy support for 5.2-5.4)
* Windows 10/11 64 Bit
* Intel i7/i9 CPUs with boost clock rates above 4.7ghz
* 32GB ram
* Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070, Quadro RTX 6000 or better GPU (not yet tested on AMD hardware)
* Gigabit Ethernet adapter with [firewall disabled](https://knowledge.carbon.show/settings-and-tips/computer-settings#firewall-bypass)
* Internet connection on separate adapter

#### MAC:

Mac computers will be substantially slower than their comparably priced PCs. For comprehensive performance comparisons, we recommend consulting Blender’s publicly available database, which ranks machines and GPUs by real-world performance. [View the database here.](https://opendata.blender.org/benchmarks/query/?blender_version=4.3.0\&group_by=device_name)
